At
the course you will be familiar with accupressure which is a 4000 year old
oriental method for diagnosis and treatment. It combines massage and
elements from acupuncture. The method is developed in China and the purpose
of it is to stimulate exact points in the body's meridian system.
As
opposed to the western medicin - in which one thinks that the health
problems are caused by diseases - in the chinese medicin one thinks it is
about imbalance in the body's energy system (meridians). Chinese studies of
diseases show that there is a realtionship between the meridian points.
It
asserts both for the inner organs and the muscular system. Through
stimulation of the points one can change and affect the organ function with
people and animals. Usually the therapist uses her fingers, knuckles and
thumbs to press on the same points as used in acupuncture for 3-10 seconds.
The
purpose is to equalise the natural energy flow of the body and by that
strengthen the natural vitality of the body.
Accupressure
is a treatment method by which it is possible to actively see the horse's
