"Meeting
Gitte and attending the educations at The Equine Academy opened up a brand new world for
me. I have had horses for 20 years and for the last five I have worked with
breaking in horses and training complicated horses. I think I know
quite a lot about horses but still something is missing - things like the basis
knowledge about how the horse is build up and works. A good and solid academic
knowledge for all the experiences I have gathered through the years. At The Equine Academy I found everything I was looking for. First and foremost a thorough
knowledge about the anatomy and the physiology of the horse. A better
understanding of how the horse should be trained correctly. I had a lot of
experiences where new knowledge and experiences suddenly added up. Moreover the
education has made it possible for me to make life better for my own horses as
well as for other people's horses. At The Equine Academy the educations are of modular structure so that it is possible to add
courses of specific subjects such as feeding, diseases and breeding. I have
benefitted a lot from being able to concentrate on one subject at a time and
then gradually building up more knowledge. A lot of new knowledge is applied on
each course and some studying at home is necessary to be able to keep up. In return I have
gained a lot and I use the things I have learned on daily a basis. The teaching in itself is the best. Gitte is very competent and is an expert professionally. I benefit a lot from her huge experience which she willingly shares when you have different kinds of questions. Moroever The Equine Academy emphasizes students working together and supporting each other during the education, as well as after graduating. This means that I have several of my fellow students as my sparring partner, besides Gitte of course, and everyone can contribute with a new, interesting side of a subject when discussed. In the intervening periods with practical training it is also possible to get help from Gitte and the other students. All
